It has been a busy week for the SIGNATURE Doctoral Students, who took part in 4 of the 10 Training Events scheduled as part of the project. On the agenda were a range of sessions designed to develop both methodological and transferable skills:

  • Exploitation of results and research valorization: an introduction to turning research into value
  • Ethical considerations in experimental research: regulatory aspects of research involving human subjects and the role of ethics committees
  • Personal development & career, insights from an MSCA awardee, grant assessment perspectives and a round-table on research career paths
  • Experimental design and Methodology for research projects
  • Public Communication

The training to Public Communication, in particular, gave the Doctoral Candidates the opportunity to tackle the challenging task of communicating and raising awareness about their research topic amongst a variety of audiences. We look forward to the next step which will involve putting these lessons into practice!
